Learn from the greats! This course starts with an in-depth look at Basquiat, Picasso, and Frida Khalo. We’ll talk about why some artists get famous and what it means to be an artist. In this course, you’ll create an advertising campaign which promotes creativity, and explores why art is important to YOU. You’ll learn to use Adobe Illustrator, and to develop your hand-drawings into finished artworks.

 Pre-requisites: 4 Visual Art credits at level 1, or with HOD approval

Students learn how to think creatively and solve design issues as they go through various design briefs. Students will use a variety of drawing techniques to clearly develop and communicate their ideas. Students choose the topic and nature of their designs, then produce a series of briefs relevant to their topic, eg, corporate identity, logo, cd covers, posters, comic strip, gaming design etc.

Ideal for students wanting a career in product design, architecture, graphic design, animation, concept art, landscape design, spatial design, etc.
