L2 Dance
Subject Description
Teacher in Charge: Abigail Parsons.
Level 2 Dance students develop choreography skills, creating a group dance or solo to communicate an intention. Students will expand their current movement vocabulary through learning a variety of dances, and have the opportunity to share these in a variety of performance contexts. Students will learn to view and respond to the work of others and demonstrate understanding of various dance styles.
Pre-requisites: Participation in level 1 Dance, or with HOD approval

Recommended Prior Learning
Students must have a passion for dance and confidence in performing. Ideally, they have learned the fundamentals of dance during L1DAN.
Pathway
L2DAN can lead to career pathways that include (but are not limited to) dance teaching, performing choreographing etc.
Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
