L3 Dance
Subject Description
Teacher in Charge: Abigail Parsons.
Level 3 Dance students will refine their choreography skills, exploring a unique concept that they want to communicate through an original piece of choreography. Students will expand upon their current movement vocabulary and refine practical skills through performing a variety of dances, in a variety of contexts. Students will learn to analyse professional dance works to explore how meaning is communicated in dance and how dance impacts them and others.
Pre-requisites: 4 credits in level 2 Dance, or with HOD approval

Recommended Prior Learning
Students must have a passion for dance and confidence in performing. Ideally, they have learned the fundamentals of dance during L1DAN and L2DAN.
Pathway
L3DAN can lead to career pathways that include (but are not limited to) dance teaching, performing choreographing etc.
Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
