Subject Description

English is a compulsory subject at Year 12. 

This course offers 22 credits (8 externally, 14 internally). You are able to gain all 10 reading and writing credits for University Entrance if all assessments are achieved. 

Over the course of the year, you will:

  • Analyse how and why visual and written texts are crafted,
  • Craft and edit a range of written texts for a specific purpose and audience,
  • Research connections between texts and their effects on the audience,
  • Self-select and read a range of texts and make personal and original responses to them.

U.E. means: 

  • 10 Literacy Credits made up of:
    • 5 reading credits
    • 5 writing credits
