L3 Curriculum Support
Subject Description

Curriculum Support (CSU) provides time, academic skills and support for Year 13 students so that they are able to work on assessments and classwork for their courses in order to maximize their academic achievement. Firstly, self-directed study class times to work on subject assessments and class work, developing time management, goal setting, self-efficacy and self-management. Secondly, periodically during the year, skills-based activities and seminars will also be held during class times to develop their understanding of how they learn, set goals, manage their time and study. CSU students will also have support to develop their understanding of career pathways and future directions. Please note that credits are not offered in CSU as this is a supported study class. However, there may be the opportunity to work during CSU class time, towards extra Level 3 Unit Standards (individual approval required). One worth three credits, and another worth four credits.
Eligibility: Year 13 students. Recommended for students intending to study at tertiary level. Must have Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy. Students who select L3ENL will not be eligible for CSU. Not recommended if Year 13 students are enrolled in double line subjects such as L3CAT or three/four practical subjects (Individual approval required by Dean and TIC).
