L2 Drama

Subject Description

Teacher in Charge: Abigail Parsons.

Students will work individually and in groups developing essential interpersonal and communication skills.  Students will learn to skillfully apply drama techniques and perform a substantial role in a scripted production. Students will apply knowledge of drama elements and conventions in order to devise their own original piece of theatre.  Students will have the opportunity to see a live theatre performance as part of their external examination preparation.

Pre-requisites: 10 credits in L1DRM, or with LOLA approval

Recommended Prior Learning

Students must have a passion for drama and confidence in performing. Ideally, they have learned the fundamentals of drama during L1DRM.
