L3 Accounting (L3ACC)

Subject Description

This course looks at accounting for companies and manufacturing entities. Students learn to prepare break even graphing and cash budgets to make decisions and calculate the cost of producing a good/providing a service as it flows through the production process. Analytical and interpretative skills are taught and applied in the preparation of company accounts and reporting on whether an investor should buy shares in the company.  The course is designed to prepare students for a Commerce degree, and to apply for internship in the big accounting firms.

 Pre-requisites: 7 credits in L2ACC or 7 credits in L1 Maths and 7 credits in L1 English, or with HOD approval
