Subject Description

In Level 3 History, students will develop a high standard of research skills, learn to develop cohesive and effective arguments, and learn to be discerning with resources and develop the discipline of historiography. Areas of study are Parihaka, the Opium Wars in China and the Decolonisation of India.

Studying History provides students with a sound basis for further education for a variety of careers, such as Law, Journalism and Politics.

Pre-requisites: Minimum of 12 credits in Level 2 History, L2 English or with HOD approval.
