L1 Samoan (L1SAM)

We encourage our students to immerse in the gagana Samoa where and whenever you can (especially in the classroom). There will be various learning tasks in class that will provide opportunity for you to practice your language skills, as well as your participation and familiarity with the Samoan culture (aganu’u Samoa). All tasks are designed to help you acquire the language so that you can understand and produce information and ideas; express and respond to personal needs and interests; and use cultural knowledge to communicate appropriately.

Pre-requisites: Previous study at junior level, or with HOD approval

Approximate Credits this course will generate toward NCEA L1: 20
